Skills Training & Employment Preparation Program

About

STEPProgram

Established in 2021, the Skills Training & Employment Preparation Program (STEPP) is a need-based shared service center program, implemented by Einstein Rising, in collaboration with OVO Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs, that purposely aims at getting youths ready for work, exposed to new skills and different life contexts. With a solid track record of sprouting start-ups into multinational social enterprises, STEPP focuses on planting the seed of entrepreneurship in the minds of all its participants.

STEPProgram conducts consecutive quarterly internship trainings throughout each year. In the first phase, participants come to Kampala, Uganda for three days of orientation and an Inspiration tour of OVO & Einstein Rising’s accelerated social entrepreneurs situated within the central region.

For the next 6-12 weeks, interns are placed at their respective projects and workstations. For interns training for more than 3 months, In the third month of the internship, these continuing STEPP students are placed in a different project or department in line with their profession.

(This is only done at the will of the host employer & student) The purpose of this transfer is to enable the interns to gain diverse knowledge and skills from various professionals.
