Initiative for Rural Community Development (IRCD)
This program aims to improve the living conditions of vulnerable groups within the communities such as single mothers, refugees, displaced persons, unemployed youth, and street children. Through the skill training, we are teaching these groups how to build sustainable businesses out of the skills taught to them to improve their lively hoods conditions.
Skills to be taught under this include tailoring, hair dressing & beauty, catering, carpentry & joinery, brick laying & construction, plumbing, electrical wiring & fittings soap making, book making, candle making, briquette making, clean energy stove making and so much more coupled with financial literacy skills and basic business skills.
Through this initiative, not only are we empowering vulnerable groups to pursue gainful employment but through clustering them based on shared interests and geographical locations, we are laying the foundation for community based social businesses to develop and feed into the social enterprise investment pipeline.
Skills For Change
This is a grassroots capacity building and enterprise development initiative under Einstein Rising. Through it, we are working to tackle unemployment and underemployment amongst Ugandans living in the most deprived conditions in the country.
>We provide free accredited training and mentoring to enable people to develop their skills and build confidence and knowledge in order to start their own business or transition into paid employment.
Community Outreach
The Social and Environmental Outreach program is a philanthropic initiative of the organization. This program has been strategically designed to showcase how one small step can go a long way. The focus of this initiative is to spread awareness on issues such as climate change, hygiene problems, health, and environment solutions, while implementing an action plan that includes planting of trees and cleaning up slum areas.
The program focuses on garbage removal, recycling, and sanitation and the culture tree planting for food security, health, and livelihood. The Einstein rising team gets on ground and empowers the people to help themselves and raise their standard of living.
